Haupt's Adhesive Concentrate
Product Description
Eliminate prep work, clean up, and waste with our conveniently concentrated and prepackaged Haupt’s Adhesive Concentrate! Our multi-use microscope slide section adhesive is just what you've been looking for to ease the burden of tissue section loss! Simply melt the gelatinized 15mL concentrated aliquot (using a lab safe microwave - 10-20 sec, water bath @ 37C, or room temperature overnight), add 15ml diluted ethanol to the vial (1:1 ratio w/ 50% EtOH recommended), cap, and invert several times (approximately 30 sec) to quickly make 30mL of working solution. Your Haupt’s Adhesive solution is now ready for use. It’s that simple!
Each 30mL vial of working solution “coats” 200-300 slides (depending on slide size and number of drops used per slide) and dries clear within 5-10 minutes! In resin microtomy applications, use of this adhesive in conjunction with DHM’s Resin Section Slide Press, optimizes both section quality and section retention throughout deplastification and the harshest of staining protocols.
DHM’s Haupt’s Adhesive Concentrate has a shelf-life of greater than 1 year (stored @ 2-8C) and the diluted working solution has a shelf-life of approximately 1-2 weeks (stored @ room temperature and depending upon frequency of use).
