Sandersons Rapid Bone Stain SRBS 500 ml

Product Description
This is the same Sanderson’s Rapid Bone Stain (SRBS) you have used commercially in the past and now it’s exclusively available through Dorn and Hart Microedge! SRBS allows for full visualization of fluorochrome labels and cellular elements at the interface of any implant material. It is commonly used in conjunction with Van Gieson picrofuchsin, acid fuchsin, or light green SF yellowish counterstains. While SRBS is predominantly used for thicker “ground” sections of resin embedded undemineralized bone specimens, it is also flexible for use with thin resin sections of undemineralized bone and paraffin sections of decalcified bone. Typical microscopy results of “ground” undemineralized bone sections, counterstained with Van Gieson picrofuchsin, yield shades of blue (i.e. cellular components and muscle and tendon when present), purple (i.e. cartilage), red (i.e. depending upon mineralized bone density), green (i.e. dense collagen / osteoid), and black (i.e. when metal implant material and certain biomaterials or ceramics are present). Sanderson’s Rapid Bone Stain is the stain of choice when working with thick “ground” sections of undemineralized bone (w/ or w/o implants) and we’ve got what you need to meet your pre-clinical and clinical research interests!
